E-Cloud: Nouveau projet de recherche pour une solution 'Open Microgrid'
Financé par la Région Wallonne dans le cadre du Plan Marshall, le projet E-Cloud a pour objectif de développer et d’optimiser les micro-réseaux ouverts dans les zones industrielles.

Funded by the Walloon region under the Marshall Plan, E-Cloud project has an objective to develop and optimize open micro-grids in industrial zonings. This will allow different companies located in the same zone to invest together into Renewable Energy production and on storage capacities, and share the produced electricity in an optimal way while optimising the interactions with the grid and the markets.
The E-Cloud project combines the expertise of N-SIDE, ORES and RESA, energy suppliers EOLY, Universities ULg and UMons and territorial development agencies (IDETA, SPI).
N-SIDE is responsible for the development of the optimization platform for:
- Optimal investment in RES
- Optimal repartition of produced electricity
- Optimal electricity storage strategy
- Optimal billing strategy managed by DSO
- Optimal interaction with network
The project will be kicked-off in August 2016 and will last 3 years. The pilot studies will be conducted in ORES and RESA distribution networks.
